For the hounds
Even though the truffles we use are cultivated, they're traditionally foraged from the woods. Delicious and elusive, truffles may be hard to spot by sight, but their distinct aroma is hard to miss. That's why us humans use dogs to track the scent and show us where truffles are hiding in the forest floor. This sauce is an homage to the mighty truffle hounds!
What's a Truffle Hound?
FAQ
Yes! We use black truffles grown hydroponically in Montana. The sauce's name, Truffle Hound, was inspired by the dogs that search for wild truffles in the forest.
We classify it as a medium-to-hot spice level. We use ghost pepper and chile de arbol, but only enough for a slow burn.
Although truffle is a complex flavor, this sauce plays nice with just about everything! Try it as marinade for proteins, as a "wing" sauce, stir it into pasta sauce, drizzle over a breakfast scramble, mix it into mac & cheese. You'll always find a way to use it!
