Summer in a Glass: How to Make a Smoky Watermelon Granita Cocktail

This cocktail is bold, it's smoky, it's sweet, and it's the ultimate summer sipper for chilling off or heating things up. This is not your ordinary fruity drink. We're adding some serious depth with a touch of Smoked Jalapeño and mezcal, and the result is nothing short of mind-blowing. From BBQs to beach parties this is a drink that will transport you straight to the tropics. This is not your grandma's summer cocktail - this is the Smoky Watermelon Granita Cocktail. 

What you need:

  • 2 cups chunked watermelon
  • 1 cup mango (or peach)
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ lime
  • 1 Tbsp of Smoked Jalapeño
  • 4oz mezcal
  • Garnish with a bit of basil

Directions:

  1. Combine watermelon chunks, mango, ice, lime juice, Smoked Jalapeño, and mezcal in a blender and blend until smooth. 
  2. Pour into your cocktail glasses, garnish with a bit of basil, and enjoy before the ice melts! Cheers!
